Acts of Fate Postponed

‘Acts of Fate’ Postponed

This Friday at 7, we intended to present an online offering of Acts of Fate, featuring memoir, performance, and poetry on the theme of the moment in your life that changed everything.

Our country is now grappling with just such a moment. Our hearts are heavy for George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and countless others who have suffered systemic oppression and police brutality. Therefore, out of respect and solidarity, we have decided to postpone Acts of Fate to a future date.

At Thrown Stone, we are acutely aware of our privilege and the hard work we need to do to live up to our ideals. We are determined to use this moment to face our shortcomings, and recommit to diversity, equity, and inclusion in our board, staff, and offering.

We look forward to sharing our plans with you, including concrete goals and measures of our progress.
