The past eighteen months have been full of pivots like this, and we appreciate your patience and grace as we adjust. If you have any questions or concerns, please send an email to [email protected] or call (203) 442-1714 and a Thrown Stone representative will get back to you as promptly as possible.
Last year gave us a rare opportunity to step off the frenetic treadmill of production, do some real self-interrogation, and throw ourselves into some work that might have felt too hard or too scary before.
Read all about it in Connection, our 2020 annual report:
This Friday at 7, we intended to present an online offering of Acts of Fate, featuring memoir, performance, and poetry on the theme of the moment in your life that changed everything.
Our country is now grappling with just such a moment. Our hearts are heavy for George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and countless others who have suffered systemic oppression and police brutality. Therefore, out of respect and solidarity, we have decided to postpone Acts of Fate to a future date.
At Thrown Stone, we are acutely aware of our privilege and the hard work we need to do to live up to our ideals. We are determined to use this moment to face our shortcomings, and recommit to diversity, equity, and inclusion in our board, staff, and offering.
We look forward to sharing our plans with you, including concrete goals and measures of our progress.
