Looking Back
As we step into 2025, we take a moment to reflect on the journey that brought us here and the exciting road ahead. Since our founding, Thrown Stone has been dedicated to making new theatre — commissioning, developing, and producing bold new works that spark conversation and bring our community together.
From Milk, the play that started it all, to Seven Cousins for a Horse, our first full-length commission, to the unforgettable site-specific adventure of The Suburbs, we’ve always sought to challenge expectations and create experiences that stay with you long after the curtain falls. Most recently, The Waterfall — which began right here in Ridgefield as part of our 068 Magazine Fellowship — has continued its remarkable journey through the development process. In the next few weeks, we’ll have some exciting news to share about that.
In the meantime, we want to hear from you: What was your favorite Thrown Stone experience? Take a walk down memory lane — check out our production history or scroll through our Instagram — and let us know!
Looking Ahead
This year, Thrown Stone returns with two powerful new productions: Fools’ Paradise and The Good District. Each play asks big questions, balancing humor, satire, and drama in ways that feel urgent and immediate. Our expansion into South Norwalk opens the door for even more audiences to experience new plays, developed and presented right here in Connecticut.
For those who have been with us since the beginning, and for those just discovering Thrown Stone, we invite you to join us for what’s next. Whether you’re sitting in the front row, spreading the word, or supporting our work in any way, you’re part of this story. And we can’t wait to share the next chapter with you.
Help us spread the word! Share this post, invite a friend to the theatre, or follow us on social media. Every conversation, every share, and every ticket helps bring these new stories to life.
