H.E. Dunkle (she/her) is a passionate freelance writer for the page and stage. She’s been writing plays for about four years now, and with each new script she completes she learns something new about herself, humanity, or the art of storytelling. She graduated from the University of Sioux Falls with a B.A. in English and Theatre, and she serves on the Board of Directors for two local theatre companies.

So far she’s completed three full-length plays, three youth-oriented one-act plays, and six short plays. Her most successful play thus far, Finding Godot, received an Honorable Mention for the ACTF Region V Undergraduate Full-Length Play Award, and is going to be produced by the Mighty Corson Art Players this coming October. She is currently working on her first two-act play, alongside finally writing those fantasy adventure books she’s been talking to her sisters about for years.
