Matt began his career in corporate engineering. His 21 years of corporate learnings from being a machinist to managing manufacturing quality, working with new product development, supply chain management and ultimately consulting on a range of global projects provided Matt with an eclectic skill set. The combination of these skills along with his love of the outdoors and his own tree removal project, equal a new passion for the love of arboricultural. Matt decided to walk a more improbable path to becoming an arborist and owner of Barts Tree Service and began to feverishly pursue learning the arts and sciences of the trade, from climbing and tree biology to pest control, etc. As a result Matt is now a CT State licensed arborist, ISA certified arborist and consulting arborist. Barts Tree Service is celebrating their 15 year anniversary and is an industry leading company in our community.
Matt also has a passion for community out reach, the arts, and giving back to children. He is a past president of the Kiwanis Club and current LT Governor helping with all their children’s projects. He is also involved with and sponsors several theaters in the area. In his personal time, Matt loves to work on racecars/quads/snowmobiles or anything mechanical, plus hiking, fishing, and traveling the world whilst experiencing culinary delights.
