Richard Harrison

Richard lives in Carmel, New York with his wife Christine and teenage children. He holds BA degrees in Set and Costume Design, and Fine Art and a Masters in Art Education. Professionally, Richard has been designing, engineering and creating theatrical scenery for decades. In New York, Richard has worked with the Metropolitan Opera, City Ballet, Designed Off-Broadway, and was for years, Design Associate and Research Assistant to children’s author Maurice Sendak. As co-owner of Capital Scenic, Inc. for 25 years, he provided scenery for Theatre and Industrial clients like The Roundabout Theatre, Theatre for a New Audience, Paul Taylor Dance, Mark Morris Dance, ABT, Mint Theatre, The Blue Man Group, MTV Networks, Bravo Network, Heineken, Dunkin’ Donuts, Citicorp, IBM and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment. Currently, in addition to Production Managing, he teaches Visual Arts and Graphic Design at Kenneth B. Clark Academy in Dobbs Ferry, designs for the City University of New York and draws, paints and sculpts.
