In the grand tradition of CHIRP, seating for Thrown Stone’s roving production of The Suburbs will be “bring your own.” We’ve chosen this style of seating to give you maximum flexibility as you follow the production from Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center, to The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, to West Lane Inn during the course of the performance. Simply bring along a folding camp chair, picnic blanket, or stadium cushion just as you would for Ridgefield’s popular summer concert series, and set up anywhere you’d like within our defined seating areas at each venue. Ushers will be on-hand to show you where to go.
Need A Chair?
You’re in luck. Thrown Stone is offering a limited edition Director’s Chair for just $25. Featuring the Thrown Stone logo on the back panel, this camp chair folds quickly for easy portability and has its own carrying bag and shoulder strap. Order now, and we’ll have it waiting at your performance.
Your Safety is Our Top Priority
B.Y.O.C. is not only quicker and more flexible than assigned seating — it’s also safer. Even though the risk of COVID surface transmission is low, our aim is to make The Suburbs as touchless as possible, from electronic tickets, to a digital program book, to seating. We will ask you to ensure 6 feet of distance between your party and other attendees. It’s up to all of us to ensure that we get to come together for live theatre in a safe manner. If you experience fever or symptoms within 24 hours of your performance, please stay home. We are happy to help you reschedule once you’re in the clear. Contact us any time with questions.
COVID safety is essential, but it’s just one part of our safety guidance. We also ask that you:
- Look both ways! Watch for our state-certified flaggers to help you at street crossings
- Stay hydrated! Bring a reusable water bottle with you — especially if the forecast calls for high temperatures.
- Protect yourself from the sun! Wear sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and comfortable, breathable clothing.

Thank you
From all of us at Thrown Stone — thank you for sticking with us through all the twists and turns of a global pandemic, and all that’s gone along with it. Developing the plays in The Suburbs has been an absolute joy, and we can’t wait to share them with you. We’re looking forward to seeing you in person this summer!
