We’re so grateful for the steadfast support of our partners. But like many arts organizations, we’ve seen several key funding opportunities shrink or disappear over the past year. Rather than push forward without the resources we need, we’re choosing to take a step back and give this important new play the world premiere it deserves.
That means more time to raise funds, grow our audience, build community partnerships, and develop the script. In the Spring, we’ll hold a workshop of The Good District led by director Dexter Singleton, with public readings to gather input from the community and deepen our local connections.
As public and institutional funding vanishes, individual supporters are more needed than ever. This postponement underscores how urgently we need true believers to stand with us.
