Dr. Darla Shaw was a teacher and administrator for 63 years, first with Ridgefield schools and then as a professor of education and women’s studies at WCSU.  As a teacher, Darla became a storyteller, then took on the roles of various women in history, and is now focusing on playwriting for local theater groups.
