Julia Weston is delighted to be in her first play reading, and has thoroughly enjoyed this uniquely transformative process. Originally from Hartford, she is now a sophomore at Yale University double-majoring in Theatre and Humanities. This school year Julia has held roles in Skeleton Crew (Shanita), Machinal (Young Woman), Orlando (Chorus), and Saniya’s Salon (Sherry) at Yale University. Regionally, Julia has performed with theatres including Hartford Stage, Time’s Fool Company, The Shubert, and Long Wharf Theatre. Next semester, Julia will be abroad studying Shakespeare Performance with the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in collaboration with NYU Tisch in London. A multidisciplinary artist, Julia also produces for film and theatre in her free time; recent credits include co-producing Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf (Yale University), assistant producing the interdisciplinary arts festival FLUXUS alongside The Yale Center for Collaborative Arts and Media, and a new music video for the up-and-coming folk band Clementine. Julia is also a screenwriter and co-wrote the feature film Lux et Veritas currently in production. She dedicates this reading to her Dad.
