We invite you to meet the cast and creative team of The Suburbs. We think you’ll see some familiar names, some new faces, and some old friends from near and far.
There are only twelve chances to see this team in action, so don’t delay:
Last year gave us a rare opportunity to step off the frenetic treadmill of production, do some real self-interrogation, and throw ourselves into some work that might have felt too hard or too scary before.

Thrown Stone has commissioned three new plays by Tony Meneses, Phanésia Pharel, and Catherine Yu. These short, site-specific works will be performed in sequence at Keeler Tavern Museum and History Center, The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, and West Lane Inn as a single “roving production” (where the audience follows the action from location to location).
This Friday at 7, we intended to present an online offering of Acts of Fate, featuring memoir, performance, and poetry on the theme of the moment in your life that changed everything.
Our country is now grappling with just such a moment. Our hearts are heavy for George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and countless others who have suffered systemic oppression and police brutality. Therefore, out of respect and solidarity, we have decided to postpone Acts of Fate to a future date.
At Thrown Stone, we are acutely aware of our privilege and the hard work we need to do to live up to our ideals. We are determined to use this moment to face our shortcomings, and recommit to diversity, equity, and inclusion in our board, staff, and offering.
We look forward to sharing our plans with you, including concrete goals and measures of our progress.
Last year saw a reinvigorated mission, nine different family programs, and an acclaimed season that received thirteen BroadwayWorld Connecticut Award Nominations, and made three different Best Of 2019 lists.
